Emily has spent her whole life in motion, any way she can find it. Growing up, she was in ballet classes, on softball teams, playing kickball in the streets, swimming, running both cross country and track and field. Once she was at Northeastern, she switched it up and spent years training in Muay Thai, and post-college got involved in obstacle course racing. It was after moving back to the NYC area that she realized she wanted to share her love of movement with others.
She coached kickboxing and functional fitness classes part-time for five years before she finally quit her full-time corporate job in 2017 and embraced fitness as a career. Rowing has been a great new challenge for her, and she hopes to share that with all of you in the Deep Blue!
My goal is to get as many new people into rowing fitness as possible because it changed my life and I think it can change many others.
My hope is that people connect with the sport like Joey and I did, and that Row Republic becomes more than a workout—but a community.
